My neice Maggie

I'm going to be without a camera (boo hoo) for a few weeks...it's in Irvine 'visiting' the Canon repair center, so I will be posting old pics (if I can find ones that fit the theme).

This is one of my adorable neice Maggie, she has gorgeous eyes but I think I need advice on getting them to pop even more. They just don't seem to have that sparkle that I see in so many of everyone elses photos. Help!

ISO800(it was dusk), ss160, f5.6

lighten the photo....burn the eyes, not the pupil or the white part at midtones 11%. Try that!

I had already lightened it quite a bit (guess it was more dark than dusk) but it does look better even lighter (you're so smart Ruth). Now comes the idiot of the day question, not the pupil or the white parts leaves.....? and how do I isolate what's left. Also, I'm supposed to make that part darker?

Appreciate the help Ruth, this has been something I really want to get good at :)

I re-posted the lightened version, does it need to go any lighter? (it seems darker on the blog than in photoshop).

I got it and changed it and sent it back to you and then last night when I was closing my computer I saw that it was in my outbox still. GGeeesshhhh!!! Anyway I guess I"ll have to winzip it to you. Do you have winzip? or pando? Pando is free.. Let me know and I'll resend it.

Where is that idiot icon when you need it? What IS winzip and Pando?

ok I'll send it pando when you recieve it, you will need to download the program. It is free and I really like using it. Winzip costs money so if you can use Pando do that.

They are programs that let you send bigger files. My email won't let me send this back. I have a dumb email though.

Thanks Ruth, looking forward to seeing the pic. Yeah, our email used to crash every time I sent a big (or not so big) file. Now it will send them, but it takes FOREVER.
