puppy love

Here is another one from my shoot. I just finished proofing the session. Tired, very tired. Don't have the settings cause I'm too tired. LOL

A little dirt never hurt...

Lachlan LOVES the dirt!! Can you tell?? So I'm sharing two pics today b/c I couldn't decide on which one to share. He's just too cute! :) First pic ISO 100, ss 1/125, f/5.0 Second pic ISO 100, ss 1/80, f/6.3

Smile

Lately it has been so beautiful here and so the kids have been spending most of their time outside playing in the yard so here's a pic of my daughter giving me a quick smile while being silly. Plus I've been testing out my new camera and lens, the 50mm is awesome! PP turned to b&w and added frame, settings f2.8 1/640 iso 200 at 50mm

Rings

This is my rings shot from the beach wedding. Thankfully I was second shooter on this one, so I don't have to do all the edits. I am, however, going to edit my favorites and add to my website. The wedding was beautiful, I had a blast!

studio getting there

Today is the day we sand the floor and put the first seal on it. I have a session with two dogs tomorrow. I will be up most of the night cleaning it.

iso 250 ss1/50 f3.5 28mm

Like this one?
I am keeping them both and adding them
to their album. :)
I like the grain on it and the crop. Hard to
not keep it......ya know. :)

I got this one from a full pic that I just cropped
to get this image. Wish I would have thought about it while I was there! :(
Thoughts please??????
Do you think it is too grainy?

First Formal Session

F/4.2 1/125 iso 800 at 66mm

F4.8 1/250 iso 800 at 95mm

Sorry ladies that I didn't post yesterday, very busy day. But I do have some today, this is my first formal picture shoot that I have done, getting a little practice in before the big wedding in May. This couple asked me to take prom pictures for them, I think they are so cute together. The girl she is so funny, in this one shot they were standing in the middle of a freshly wet ground, and she had heels on so she tip toed out there to get this shot, but she is a great sport, she didn't mind doing it. Then the lamp pole that she is leaning against was really cold and while smiling under her breath she was saying "this is really cold, this is really cold". It wasn't that it was cold outside, it was 67 but it had been really cloudy all day, and she hates anything that has a cold touch. I really had fun do these and I will be taking more pictures of them later on this summer. I did do some sharpening and contrasting and a frame in ps.

And then this is what my house would look like. But do you notice that the silverlake box is still there? That is because my studio still wouldn't be finished. :sigh:

silverlake backdrop, the important stuff

iso 200 ss40 f4.5 Please note the hideous moss on my roof. That is what happens when it won't stop raining. The larger red circle is my root condominimum that my taxes are going to go toward to remove. I'm think of building a gazebo there, or something I can photograph someone it. But the ORANGE circle......if you look through the glass you will see the outline of my silverlake box containing my mocha marble backdrop. Still in the box, it awaits my studio to get done.

The Snow is leaving :)

Thanks

Thanks for everyone who checked their lenses for me! I appreciate it.

Now, I'm off to Destin, FL (yes, the beach) for a wedding. This will be
my first on the beach. Wish me luck.

ok sorry to horde the blog. Here is the Tamron with the color temp corrected, didn't change the exposure but I really really cropped it close. I think it's great!

here is the Tamron 28-75 iso100 ss0.3 f8 same position because it was on the tripod. When zoomed in, the Tamron was actually sharper but by very little and I'm sure since I don't have a cord to trigger the shutter, I may have shaked the camera ever so slightly. I was surprised that the Tamron was sooooooooooooo sharp. Now I'll go and play with the color temp and see what I can do with them. Both are sooc no usm added. I'd like now to crop them

I don't exactly how to do this but this is the 50mm iso100 ss0.3 f8 on my tripod. I know they are underexposed but when I tried to lighten them either by exposure or in RAW it didn't look as good. I'm sure I could play with it but I think, Cindy, you wanted SOOC.

I forgot to change the ISO so I had grain. :(
This is my daughter and her "boyfriend" Brandon
He is three months older than her.
Aren't they too cute together!!!

Lens Test

Okay, I finally got the Tamron28-75 2.8 So I've been playing with it off and on to check the clarity and sharpness. This is the test image I did at 50mm to compare it to my Nikon 50mm 1.8. They exposure looks a bit different on screen - but the histogram on my camera looked exactly the same. So far so good. Now, back to wedding photos...

Back From Calgary...

Husband and I went downtown Calgary on Monday night for a drive, I didn't have a tripod YIKES so I tried steady my camera on a post. ap 2.8, ss 1/2 sec, iso 200

Crabapple Tree

I remembered just before the sun went down that I needed a pic for this blog, so you get to see my bloomin Crabapple Tree :) I didn't know those blossoms smelled so good! ISO 200, ss 1/100, f/2.8. Did a color pop, sharpened and noiseware filter on it in PS.

Bridal Spin

Okay, I'll admit that I'm not happy with these images. I hated the room we were in so I softened this a lot to cover the background and to give them a dreamy feel. Should I show the bride? (She said that every since she purchased the dress she would go home every night and put it on and spin ).

Lollipop

Tooele Valley...

Here you are looking down onto the Tooele Valley. We had a storm roll in and with it came these amazing cloud formations, so I seized the oportunity to photograph them for our 365 blog! :) ISO 200, ss 1/400, f/13.

Senior Session

I took this yesterday, but I'm slaving away tonight working on them. So I'm taking the liberty of posting one from my Senior session

My Bride

Here is my bride from the weekend.
Very nice couple.
:)

Bride Again

Again, shooting in full sun was a challenge. I really worked on this one to brighten teeth, remove wrinkles, and soften the overall image. Same settings as the last photo posted, same location, just not B&W Any ideas on improvement will be appreciated.

Wills

Well here is a pic of my husband JD and you can see Will in the background :) Had to post now as I am heading out for the night to the city. My husband and I are spending a night in Calgary (about 2.5 hours from us) in a hotel as hubby has an early appointment in the morning. Have a great night everyone!

Wedding Edit

I'm still culling images from this weekend's wedding, but when I saw this one I just had to edit it. I loved this shot (don't ask why, I just do). Shot on manual, f8, ss 500, iso 200, and I ran it through an Infrared filter in Paintshop Pro.

I love the attitude

So I put her hair in pigtails and then I get attitude, she is something else!

iso 100 AV ss125 f5.0 This is my reluctant Son, Danny, sitting for me in prep. for my Senior tomorrow, if it doesn't rain. I don't like photgraphing in dark clouds. hmmmm But they came out ok, except for the contempt in his eyes. If you want to see the rest, www.myproofs.org and click on Danny. Have a happy Sunday everyone.
