Lachlan's Hat...

from when we were at the zoo back at the end of May. Yeah, yeah I know it's not current, but hey, at least I got a pic up! LOL

And my last hat!!!

iso 100 ss125 f8.0 my daughter. We had fun!

One last Hat...

...and I am obviously getting desperate. My son was napping (or at least trying to) after his ball game, but between me and the kitty bugging him, was not too successful. After I fired off a few shots I hear an almost imperceptable (and tired) voice say...."trying to sleep here Mom"....so I left him alone...oh well.

End of the Line

I've been running errands all day...now must go make dinner...so here's an old one. This is a candid taken the last day of baseball after the team lost in the playoffs...I guess he was feeling a bit down.

I'm here in Utah now and I don't have a image from today so I took an image from Whidby Island and used the art history brush to make it look like a watercolor. Anyone for a hat? iso 400 f8.0 ss 1/10

Flash test

Always on the looking for the perfect flash accessory. Today I combined the need for a hat photo with finding the best flash bounce. So, I tested the Omnibounce straight on set on TTL, at a 45 degree angle and bounced off the ceiling. These had various problems with shadows and color cast. I did, however like the look bounced off a white board placed to the side. The pocket bounce made dark shadows under her eyes and on the wall (she is about 3 feet from the wall). This is my favorite of them all for the lighting ration. It is with the Better Bounce Card. SS 1/60, f 2.8, wb flash +1, iso 200

Graduation kitty

My 18yr. old son received a graduation bear for...well...graduation, and he decided the outfit would look cool on his kitty (did I mention that he's 18?).

I'm leaving tomorrow morning very early on my drive to Utah "yippee I get to see Lindy" so I will be out of the loop for a few days. Have fun!

Ok, I'm cheating today. This is a photo from a few weeks ago (actually last month...geez) but my daughter (the one in braces) is at dance camp this week and I miss her....so I wanted to post this (another pic that she hates....how kind of me).

and our thrift store find!! Got both the hat and the sunnies at the local thrift store for a buck each, and she feels super cool in them! We also got another hat that's similar that Aubrey will model for me for tomorrow! :) ISO 1600, ss 1/500, f/7.1 (yeah yeah, forgot to adjust the iso again!)

iso 100 f8.0 ss 320 This is what happens when you have your sinc speed higher than you are suppose to. I can't have it above 250 but it slipped up there. But I love it!!! Works for this image I think!!!! This is still Lori, my ever faithful model. LOL

New Hat

My oldest purchased this hat to use for her senior portraits, but I haven't had a chance to take her picture wearing it yet (she wants to wait until the braces come off). So, my youngest posed for me today since it is HAT week! ISO 200, F 4.6, SS ??? ha, can't remember

Very kewl hat :)

Okay this is my clients hat (I work with people with disabilities) and since I am not allowed to show pictures of him without permission from his guardian I asked him to take off his hat. The hat is the cutest darn cowboy hat I ever seen. It's made of straw and has funky curves to it, suppose look like its been disformed, like you had fell asleep with it on haha. It also has his name on it in this brass looking wire, look close. I have to say it looks AWESOME on him and I usually ask him to wear it for me haha.

Veggie Dinner...

...for hubby and I. Kids were out and about last night so I scrounged in the fridge and used what we had. Came up with this (+ a salad)...I think once my kids move out, we will eat a whole lot less meat...and a lot more cheesecake!

Trouble

okay, this is food, right? Any idea how to feed hummingbirds without getting a swarm of honeybees? They seem to be multiplying. Now the birds have to wait for the bees to leave so they can eat! I've never had this happen before.

I cheated!

I took a pic of tonight's dinner, but I didn't have my camera, and I knew I wouldn't have time to take a food pic when I got home, so I used my camera phone!!! LOL Oh and so you know, I didn't eat all this by myself...I shared with my youngest son! Settings are~ point and click hehe :)

Another wine glass photo...

...I'm going to be gone all day (shopping with DD...ugh...not for DD... just don't like to shop) so I'm posting the pic I took a few days ago that I thought wasn't nearly as good as Tesa's grape pic, but I do like the lighting. It was taken in the early evening when the sun was just coming thru our kitchen window. I walked in and the glass happened to be set down in just the right spot. I took a few and then moved it around to see if I could get somehing better, but this turned out to be as good as it got.
