Family - The Season's Blessings

Family - you gotta love 'em, right? Don't you? I love my family. They are the best! My brothers and sisters are some of my most favorite people. I hope that is something my girls share one day (they are teens now, so they are NOT there yet).
Christmas is one of the few times in the year that we all make the effort to be together at the same time in the same place. It gets crowded, but we love to be together, so it's not that big of a deal.
This year we hosted both my family and Phil's on Christmas day. My family was here for lunch and his for dinner. There is a lot of trash on my curb tonight for tomorrow's pickup. The kids got TONS of gifts! I even got the sweetest letter from Trent about the Pirate book I gave him. I love buying gifts!
I'm attaching a photo of the Shaver cousins. We try and get this image every year. Unfortunately, my oldest was out of town and wasn't here for the picture this year. But we did get everyone else, including my oldest nephew Eric and his two boys.
Once I'm rested up from these last few days, I'm going to start looking forward to next year. For now, I'm looking forward to BAMA playing in the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP GAME!!! ROLL TIDE!!

Today is my birthday and I got my wish of being preggers before my birthday hit and it actually happened...I am praying this time I carry to full term. I'm due the end of August.

Welcome Home!

Got back safe and sound from our trip to Georgia and even tho I suspect no one is actually visiting this blog.... I'm tired of looking at my old photos :)

Addendum

Just to clarify the preceeding rather cluttered post (thanks dear) ...Our wonderful, intelligent, funny, sweet son is in Fort Benning Georgia at this minute finishing up his Army basic training, then on to Airborne, then to Ranger school. While he is officially a 'soldier' (passed the 1st phase) he is not as of yet actually serving. He will not be deployed for many (hopefully MANY MANY) months but we are already praying for his safety (you can too:)

I haven't been posting on this blog because I'm starting a new one and have hesitated to post on this blog. But since I'm so swamped, I haven't been able to work on my new blog! So much to do and NO time... I love my seniors! Here are a few of my latest!

What I've Been Doing

It's not a great excuse, but it's all I've got! Been spending most of my days gardening or preserving what we're growing....will try to post a few pics this week.

I'm so sorry I haven't posted much. This past week I found there was no heartbeat at my 12 week apt. so they got me into see the ultrasound tech. When I didn't see a heart beat on the monitor I knew something was wrong and especially when she wouldn't tell me anything and sent me off to my own doctor, who told me what I suspected.

After five days I called the doctor and asked if they would just do a D&C since my body wasn't wanting to let go (this was yesterday) and he scheduled me for the D&C today @ 3:30 pm. It went well and I had a dear friend with me the whole time.

In October, we can start trying again to have another baby. Let's hope that this one takes and wants to stay with me to the end. ((BIG HUGGS)) to everyone!!

Spending my summer at camp!

We live about 2 hours away from a summer camp that my girls LOVE to attend. The camp is offered twice during the summer and if I go as a counselor to both camps, the girls can attend the second camp for free - so here I stay for the summer. It is HOT, but it is a great group of people and the girls have a blast (I usually enjoy it as well). Here are some shots of what we do...

Our baby gurl has ARRIVED!!!!!!! Thought I would come share a photo of our precious lil bundle :) She was born just before 6pm on May 6.....came out like a rocket the doctor wasn't even there haha. We are doing great, still a bit tired of course but feel so blessed to have such a perfect lil gurl home with us! God is GREAT!

Here is my life right now.........

I thought I'd follow you Meg and show everyone my life right now.....it feels like a yard full of weeds at times lol......its big, its uncomfortable, its causing a lot of heartburn, backache, headache and did I say BIG? I have no idea if I even have toes anymore......Oh and its a GURL :P and her name is yet to be revealed but I will make sure to come back and post a pic of the lil Peach and her new name :P

YES its a digicam I'm carrying around too much weight as it is ladies.....I haven't lifted my slr in a long time.....I'm too darn tired lol.

Ohhh and I'm due on Sunday, April 26 so I'm even bigger now lol. I'm going to try and get hubby to take some "real shots" but hes working so much its hard to connect :)
